What is the Central North Island Gun Club?
The members of our club consist of people from a wide range of ages, professions and locations around the Central North Island. While the majority of our club members are located in Tauranga and Rotorua, we have members from the Waikato, Taupo, and other areas of the North Island, who shoot with us regularly.

We have formed this club because of our shared interests and passion for collecting, shooting, and enjoying our firearms. We want to work together to make the most of them, and help secure the future for firearms use and collecting in NZ.

Membership of CNIGC is at the discretion of the committee. Members are to be licenced, or working towards obtaining a licence. Minors and unlicenced shooters are to be supervised at all times. Safety is our primary aim. The club does not discriminate on age, ethnicity, religion, disability or gender. We will modify our matches to ensure that everyone is able to shoot in a safe manner. Sportsmanship is encouraged. The core matches are based on the Service Match Code, which uses internationally recognised service rifle matches. This allows members to work towards regional, national, and international competitions, which use these same matches.
